Design

Exterior: The latest roadside attraction

When you drive a vehicle that makes a bold, visual statement, you can expect to be noticed. It’s become rather common to see electric SUVs on the road, but it’s not every day you see one as eye-catching as the ID.4.

The ID.4 brings more to the table than your average electric SUV. Clean, stunning body lines. Bold and aerodynamic silhouette. It has form, function, and oomph.

21” alloy wheels

Things took a turn for the better. This stunning electric SUV now offers available 21” alloy wheels.

Cargo: Where stuff finds its happy place

Your room is ready

There’s a place for just about everything when it comes to the ID.4’s cargo capability. Simply fold down the rear seats to enjoy 64.2 cubic feet of generous space enveloped in high design.

Plus, the roof rails are perfect for those times you’re feeling extra adventurous.

Lighting: Switch on the ambience

A brighter future

Talk about a glow up–with LED taillights, and illuminated door handles, the ID.4 practically radiates. Plus, you can electrify your style even more with the available Premium LED projector headlights, illuminated front Volkswagen logo with connecting line, and rear illuminated logo.

Glass roof: Expand your view

Get a new view

This expansive available panoramic fixed glass roof lets the light in, providing a sweeping view of the sky. It can help keep the light out, too, thanks to an electric sunshade that's prompted with the swipe of your finger.

Interior: There’s so much to see

Slip into something stylish

Some of you might be wondering if it’s possible to create an electric SUV that offers clean, modern, and simple design, but still has room for the things you might want at your fingertips—and is comfortable too. It’s a lot to ask, but we did it.

Performance

Overview

Drive confidently

The available all-wheel drive adds intelligent handling that distributes power where it’s needed most. Plus, it makes towing even easier, which the ID.4 AWD is more than capable of doing with its standard tow hitch.

Gone in 4.9 seconds.

From the moment you hit the pedal on the ID.4 with AWD, you'll feel the instant torque, kicking things into high gear from 0-60 in an impressive 4.9 seconds.

If torque is your thing, then you’re really going to love the Performance Drive Unit in Pro models. It offers even more torque than the previous model year.

Technology

Media & Displays: Ready for show and tell

12.9-inch Touchscreen Display

The 12.9” touchscreen is your central hub for your drive. It’s equipped with voice control, useful features like interactive navigation, climate control and more. So, you can get where you’re going, and stay comfortable along the way.

Intuitive Start: All systems go

Sit to start

The ID.4 senses your presence and intuitively starts when you have your key fob and you sit in the driver’s seat, “waking up” automatically after the press of the brake pedal. Screens blink on, and the car is ready for the road. Just put your foot on the brake, move the gear shift to drive and you’re off!

ID. Light: If lights could talk

Car talk reimagined

The ID. Light is an intuitive light bar that runs across the dashboard in your ID.4. It uses glowing visual and acoustic cues to work in sync with native navigation, telegraph incoming calls, brake warnings, charge status, and more.

Driver Assistance: A helping hand, where you need it

Park Assist Plus

The Park Assist Plus feature puts into perspective the "will my car fit" debate when you come across the perfect parking spot. Not only can it sense the size of a space, but it will also help you do the parking, from start to finish, as you supervise. Parallel, perpendicular, or reversing is no problem.

Park Distance Control with Maneuver Braking

The available Park Distance Control helps take the guess work out of parking your car, while Maneuver Braking helps apply the brake automatically to help mitigate the chance of a collision with stationary objects while reversing into a spot. With Park Distance Control's audio beeps and visual support, you'll know if you're getting too close to detected obstacles in front of or behind your car. It'll also share additional information on your display, so you can see what's behind your car as you reverse within a parking spot.

Light Assist

When driving at 18 mph or faster and your surroundings get dark, the Light Assist driver assistance feature turns on to help make sure the road ahead is lit, and when your speed slows to 12 mph, it turns off. You can set the high beams into "auto" mode, so they'll automatically activate when there's low light, and turn off when there's an oncoming vehicle, or you enter an area that's well lit by the environment or by traffic conditions.

Dynamic Road Sign Display

From traffic signs to speed limits, when you need a reminder about the signs on the road, Dynamic Road Sign Display helps share the information you want. It also features warnings for speed, restricted traffic zones and more, so you can remain focused on the road ahead.

Overhead Camera View (Area View)

Sometimes the best way to see what's happening around you is through cameras that can give you a wider view of those hard to see angles that surround us. Area View does just that by providing an expanded view of your car's surroundings.
