    It's is a LONG review but please stay with me as it just keeps getting worse. On Wednesday June 25 the parts and service department called me to set up the appointment for my rear passenger door handle. Unfortunately my brand new cars handle did not engage properly, this did not allow the passenger to open the door from the inside. Brand new so covered under the warranty. My Friday morning appointment was set and I dropped off my vehicle Thursday night using their drop off option. They told me to plan on having my car there for about 2 hours. Friday 6/27 morning my husband receives a call asking why our car was there. This should have been the first red flag but we have been customers for over 7 years and didn't think twice when they confirmed the car would be ready that day. Around the time my car should have been ready Gabe our service tech calls my husband to let him know that handle came unpainted and that they would need more time. Mind you this is our family car, we have 3 kids and we had birthday party plans that included 7 other kids and the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. So leaving my car there to have a handle painted and installed was NOT an option. While we head back to the shop with the intention of retrieving our car we left with a small Jetta and the promise of the handle being painted and installed by Monday the 30th or even Tuesday the1st. The most important part to remember about all this is that our service tech Gabe avoided us and the manager of the parts and services department tried to blame artificial intelligence for their lack of professionalism and ability to make proper appointments that include all the parts being ready to install. Wait it gets better. My car was finally ready on JULY 8 and while the time frame is absolutely ridiculous today less than 72 hours after being installed the door handle falls off in my hands when I tried to open it. Serramonte Volkswagen Service and parts is a JOKE. Avoid them at all cost in addition to taking my complaints and experience to upper management I will also be letting ABC 7 On Your Side know of their predatory practices that all customers are subjected to that walk in through the doors.
